Florence Amerigo Vespucci Airport (FLR) - Guide to Florence (FLR) Airport

Central Florence is compact and reasonably easy to get around; you can walk across the centre in about 30 minutes, making travelling on foot the most popular way to get around the city.

Florence has decent rail connections to most major cities in Italy and Europe. The Santa Maria Novella train station is the terminus for trains from many European cities and buses regularly run from here to destinations around the city and nearby towns.

The city is served by two airports, Galileo Galilei Airport (Pisa International Airport), which handles international flights, and the smaller Florence Airport (Amerigo Vespucci), which deals mainly with domestic flights. There are frequent flights and good connections to cities around the world.
